Ben Brewer is a bassist/guitarist from Setauket, NY. He was actively involved in his school's music programs, and performed in various Long Island Jazz Ensembles. He also participated in the Nassau–Suffolk Performing Arts Jazz Ensemble and began playing professional gigs around Long Island.

Ben then attended Stony Brook University and started working on his BA in Music. At Stony Brook, he studied both classical and jazz performance on upright bass, along with composition, theory, and history. He has risen to the top of his class, both from his marks, and his zeal for performing as much as possible.

Currently, Ben is finishing his senior year at Stony Brook. He actively gigs around Long Island, and in New York City with many different groups that range in styles including: jazz, reggae, blues, funk, bossa nova, rock, current pop, and bluegrass. Most recently, Ben has just finished working on a debut album for up and coming country pop singer/fiddler Erin Slaver.

Ben is an extremely well–rounded musician and teacher, and a valued member of the Music School Inc. staff.
