Harold Gibbons
Drums (Level 1–5) • Specializes in ages 5 and under
Harold Gibbons began playing the drums prior to entering the 4th grade. His natural talent was cultivated by educators in the Oceanside School District, and while in school he performed in All–County band, as well as The Oceanside Sailor Marching Band, winning multiple state championships as well as regionals.
After graduating from Oceanside High School, Harold spent 5 semesters at the University of Delaware, studying under Jim Ancona, Harvey Price, and Kris Grant. During his time in Delaware, he gained experience performing in a wide array of ensembles, most notably with the University of Delaware Marching Band.
As a member of the UDrumline, he performed with Keith Urban in concert, during the 2007 NCAA Divison I–AA championship game in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and most impressively at President Barack Obama's Inauguration Parade. When not performing with the UDMB, Harold worked with other brothers of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia in the Mystic Cat Quintet.
–Performed with the South Shore Symphony Orchestra.
–Diligent practice allows Harold to improve his technical and creativity abilities, and he welcomes all playing and performance situations with open arms.
