Music School Inc is proud to announce that we are now the Long Island home of the D.A.D. (Drummers with Disabilities) program. Beginning September 2nd, we will begin In-Home and In-Studio Clinics, Workshops, Lectures, and Lessons geared towards to students with disabilities.

D.A.D. was created to address the ever growing population of children with special needs, and to help parents expose these children to the world of music. D.A.D. is certified by the United States Department of Education as an official teacher-training program, and has been added to the special education curriculum of school systems and community outreach programs throughout the world!

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg helped D.A.D. founder Pat Gesualdo launch the D.A.D. program, as a special education pilot program in New York City Schools in 2004. Now, Psycologists, Special Education Teachers, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Drummers and Teachers throughout the world use the D.A.D. program teachniques, to help special needs children develop retention, coordination, self esteem, and physical and cognative functioning.

"We need this program to help children with disabilities," said NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg, as he wished D.A.D. Founder/CEO Pat Gesualdo the best of luck with the program. "It's absolutly amazing, the kids don't want to leave school until they've had the D.A.D. progam!"
