Rick has been playing music and piano since he was 5 years old, and comes from a very musical family. Early memories include Rick playing his older sister’s Fender Rhodes and Moog keyboards. Rick studied with New England Conservatory Alumni Frank Doyle, who was instrumental in forming Rick’s musical talent and also for bring Rick to his recording sessions.

Soon after Rick graduated from high school he met producer Ric Wake, who placed him in Taylor Dayne’s band for her hit album “Tell It To My Heart”. Through this opportunity, Rick toured with Taylor Dayne’s band as the opening act for Michael Jackson “Bad” Tour in Europe. After the tour ended in 1989, Rick went on to be a highly prolific artist, working with such musicians as Bob Geldof, Snow Informer, Kevin Grivois, New Kids on the Block, Larry Corryel, and Carly Simon.

Rick is now currently working out of his production studio–Sound In Waves, and has scored music for one feature film. Even though Rick is an extremely busy performer and composer, his love of teaching has brought him to Music School Inc, to share his passion for the piano and music to students of all ages!
